As an RN - ED you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider's medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment;
to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.
.6 FTE/ 24 hours weekly; 3p-3a every third weekend
Required Qualifications- Bachelor of Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or equivalent.
- Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry.
- ACLS certification required from AHA within 6 months of start date
- PALS / ENPC certification required upon completion of orientation (or within six months of start date)
- TNCC certification required within one year of start date if not present at hire
- NIHSS within 6 months of start date
- Current BLS - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)
- Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Nursing
- Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
- Two (2) years of previous acute care experience (may consider previous EMT or Paramedic experience), previous Emergency or Critical Care Experience
