Position Overview
Shift Leader – Caribou Coffee
As a Shift Leader, you partner with the General Manager or Assistant General Manager to provide overall leadership and direction for the store during your shift. Your role ensures the team understands goals, expectations, product standards, cleanliness, new directives and guest connections, driving a positive guest experience.
Core Responsibilities- Demonstrate mastery of Team Member roles with enthusiasm and excellence.
- Lead shifts focused on team engagement and guest satisfaction.
- Strategically maximize product sales and manage waste.
- Own the store’s look and feel, demonstrating total store vision.
- Know the daily deployment and the responsibilities of each role.
- Communicate effectively on the floor during the shift. "
- Identify and address team and guest needs before issues arise.
- Prioritize shift tasks and delegate objectives effectively.
- Take ownership of the current shift and prepare for the following one.
- Ensure SOP and quality standards are executed consistently.
- Coaches and gives real‑time feedback, encouraging team members to bring their best DOING and BEING.
- Train team on role responsibilities, product knowledge and promotional items.
- Complete administrative tasks (bank deposits, inventory, store orders, etc.) with integrity.
- Develop team members and discuss career growth opportunities.

Required:
- At least 1 year of leadership, restaurant, retail or customer service experience (or be properly trained and approved to act as Shift Leader).
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, holidays and/or weekends.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for 4–8 hours. Physical duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
CompensationHourly wage range: $12.75 – $21.25 per hour. Starting pay is subject to local and state minimum wage regulations. Pay ranges reflect what the employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position.
