Surveyor

As a Surveyor
, you’ll turn field measurements into accurate plans to support ongoing construction. You’ll use surveying equipment and mapping tools to collect, verify, and communicate site data against existing monuments on an in-progress construction project.

• Conduct land, boundary, ALTA, topographic, and construction surveys using GPS (Global Positioning System), Trimble equipment, and 3D scanners.
• Collect and check field data; prepare maps, legal descriptions, schematics, and construction plans.
• Use GIS (geographic information systems), ArcGIS, CAD (computer-aided design) software, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson, Revit, and Micro Station to draft and process survey deliverables.
• Coordinate project schedules and, as needed, manage surveying or mapping teams and field surveying activities.
• Apply surveying equipment operation and data collection practices to support civil engineering and construction projects.

• Knowledge of land surveying, field surveying, construction surveys, topographic mapping, drafting, and CAD.
• Strong math skills, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, to interpret measurements and verify calculations.
• Familiarity with GPS surveying, surveying data collection, legal descriptions, and construction plans.
• Construction experience and project management skills are useful; experience managing surveying teams is preferred.
• Experience with the listed software and equipment is an asset; familiarity with multiple platforms is welcome.
