USA Rare Earth (USARE) is seeking a proactive and hands‑on Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic and growing manufacturing team in Stillwater, Oklahoma. This role is instrumental in supporting the installation, upkeep, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations across the facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a continuous improvement approach to help build and maintain a world‑class operation.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to support the setup and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
- Maintain an organized and efficient maintenance shop and spare parts inventory, following 5S and safety principles.
- Partner with operations and production teams to resolve equipment issues and support safe, streamlined production workflows.
- Coordinate with external service providers to ensure timely and effective equipment repairs and technical support.
- Uphold and actively contribute to USARE’s culture of safety, orderliness, and continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or associate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5–10 years of experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and responding to urgent equipment issues as needed.
- Strong knowledge of: AC/DC electrical systems, 3‑phase motor controls, VFDs; pneumatic and hydraulic systems; mechanical power transmission setups; PLCs, process control systems, and industrial automation.
- Competency in basic machining and fabrication techniques, including welding, brazing, and soldering.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow structured maintenance plans and procedures.
- Familiarity with developing or supporting Site Safety Plans.
- Comfortable working in a startup or evolving operational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
