Full‑time Sales Teammate role at The Buckle, Inc.

Primary responsibility: Fulfill Buckle’s mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Sales Teammates also perform a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by Store Management, including cashiering, merchandise display, pull‑downs, register procedures and routine store cleaning.

• Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs.
• Anticipate and fulfill Guest needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobe‑planning experience.
• Demonstrate product using product knowledge and sales education, sharing that knowledge with Teammates.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, payment and exchange policies, and security practices.
• Achieve personal sales‑per‑hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management.
• Execute the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) daily to accomplish goals.
• Maintain guest relationships to develop a client‑based business.
• Provide legendary service in Front‑5, sales floor, fitting rooms and register area.
• Assist guests with try‑ons or fitting merchandise.
• Check out and bag purchases, prepare merchandise for alterations.
• Handle exchange and return procedures, turning each interaction into a showmanship opportunity.
• Place special orders or call other stores to find desired merchandise.
• Recognize recruiting opportunities via Jobs & Careers cards, email referrals and Teammate Recommend; build guest loyalty relationships.
• Present merchandise to maximize sales and achieve optimum merchandise turnover; work with Teammates and Guests on product improvements.
• Follow flexible schedule requirements, including evenings, weekends, Thanksgiving and Christmas days.
• Open and close cash registers, count money, balance drawers, make deposits, and perform daily bag/ purse checks as per Loss Prevention guidelines.
• Understand and execute all policies regarding payments, exchanges and Loss Prevention practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, shoppable store in line with Buckle’s mission.
• Communicate policy violations or concerns to Store Manager, District Manager or Human Resources confidentially and timely.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

No prior experience or training required.

Requires regular standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and occasionally sitting. Must lift and maneuver up to 30 lbs. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus vision.

Works primarily in a retail store environment; noise level usually moderate.
