The Opportunity Our client is seeking an RICS-qualified Valuer to join their professional Valuation Team in Stirling on a 12-month temporary assignment. The role involves property surveying, measurement and valuation for Rating and Council Tax purposes, analysing rental and sales evidence, and supporting valuation appeals. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Valuer or Chartered Surveyor to develop their expertise in Rating, Council Tax and public-sector valuation .
Previous Assessor's Department experience is desirable but not essential – applications are welcomed from RICS-qualified valuers with strong transferable property valuation experience.
- Undertake valuations of non-domestic and domestic properties.
- Carry out property surveys and measurements.
- Analyse rents, sales and other valuation evidence.
- Deal with ratepayers, taxpayers and professional agents.
- Assist with valuation appeals and supporting evidence.
- Provide valuation advice and guidance to colleagues.
- Manage workload to meet statutory deadlines.
- RICS membership.
- Relevant property valuation experience.
- Strong analytical, valuation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Experience with in an Assessor's Department.
- Knowledge of Rating, Non-Domestic Rates or Council Tax valuation .
- Experience dealing with valuation appeals.
- Local government/public-sector experience.
- £27.05–£31.59 per hour
