Based at Castle Business Park in Stirling, this Accounts Assistant role offers the opportunity to play a key part in day-to-day financial operations within a well-established organisation. This is a full-time, office-based position.
The OpportunityReporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the processing of financial transactions across the main group entity and several smaller group businesses. This is a varied and hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy finance function and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely information.
You’ll be part of a collaborative finance team, contributing to smooth month‑end processes while ensuring robust financial controls are maintained across purchase ledger, sales invoicing and banking activities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the purchase invoice register and process authorised supplier invoices for payment
- Prepare and distribute monthly sales invoices, including intercompany and cost recharges
- Check and update supplier and customer bank details in line with internal controls
- Prepare BACS payment runs and set up payments on the online banking portal for authorisation
- Post daily bank transactions from bank statements and assist with bank reconciliations
- Process monthly expense claims and arrange payment
- Reconcile monthly credit card transactions
- Provide ad hoc finance support as required by the Finance Manager
- Experience working within a busy finance or accounts function, ideally in a similar Accounts Assistant role
- Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Well organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Self‑motivated with a strong sense of accountability
- Confident IT user with solid working knowledge of Excel and Word
- A professional and collaborative approach to working within a team
