Financial Controller
Iconic Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller for a well‑established SME manufacturing business in the Stirling area.
Reporting directly to the Board, you will be the key financial lead for the business.
On offer is a highly competitive salary plus benefits for a full‑time role based in the office.
Responsibilities- Produce monthly management accounts with clear commentary on business performance, trends and variances.
- Take ownership of all financial statements, forecasts and reports, ensuring a consistently high standard of accuracy.
- Run the monthly payroll process, including commission calculations and all HMRC and pension submissions.
- Manage quarterly VAT returns and maintain compliance with applicable financial regulations.
- Coordinate the year‑end audit, prepare relevant documentation and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Partner with department heads to support budgeting cycles and forward financial planning.
- Identify and report on variances and trends, turning data into insight that supports sound commercial decision‑making.
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred; candidates qualified by experience with a proven track record in a similar senior finance role will also be considered.
- Experience with in manufacturing or a related sector would be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50, Sage Payroll and Excel.
- Ability to present financial information clearly and confidently at Board level.
- Detail‑oriented self‑starter comfortable taking ownership within an SME environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
