The Business We are partnering with a growing and forward-thinking organisation seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded credit professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, reducing debtor days, and driving cash collection performance.

The Role Working closely with the wider Finance team, you will take ownership of a large and varied ledger, whilst also supporting process improvements and mentoring junior team members where required.

Key Responsibilities Manage and take ownership of a high-value sales ledger. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Resolve invoice queries and disputes efficiently to minimise payment delays. Monitor customer accounts, credit limits, and payment trends. Produce and analyse aged debt reports, highlighting risks and action plans. Conduct regular ledger reviews and escalation of problematic accounts. Negotiate payment plans and settlements where appropriate.

Support month-end reporting and cash flow forecasting activities. Assist with developing and improving credit control processes and procedures. Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team. Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to improve cash collection performance. Person Proven experience in a Senior Credit Control or Credit Management position. Strong track record of reducing aged debt and improving cash collection metrics.

Ability to build relationships at all levels internally and externally. Good understanding of credit risk assessment and account management. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Experience supervising or mentoring team members. Exposure to high-volume transactional environments. Professional credit management qualifications (ICM/CICM) desirable.
