medac Pharma is looking to recruit a new Finance Business Partner as the organisation continues to grow. medac Pharma LLP is a fast‑growing, privately owned pharmaceutical company specialising in product development and the treatment of diseases within the key areas of Autoimmune, Urology and Haematology and Onco Generics. This is a particularly exciting time for the business as it is in a period of significant growth and transformation, marked by global expansion, major regulatory milestones and strategic partnerships, adding further growth to an already successful portfolio across the UK and Europe.
The Finance Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to functions, providing financial insight, analysis, and decision support to drive performance, profitability, and growth. The role bridges finance and operations to ensure financial objectives align with business strategy.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to deliver insightful analysis on revenue, margins, pricing, and profitability
- Analyse sales performance by product, channel, customer, and region to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including revenue growth, gross margin, discount levels, and customer acquisition metrics
- Provide variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year performance
- Translate financial data into actionable insights
- Challenge and influence stakeholders to drive performance
- Track Return on Investment from Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Medical Affairs spend
- Identify, recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy and scalability
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis for future programs and product launches
- Act as the subject matter expert on drug taxes (VPAG & Rebates) and advise the business about changes and significant issues that need to be considered for Forecast/Plan and month‑to‑month decision‑making
- Serve as the primary point of contact for future grant funding requests, including monitoring ongoing expenditures and managing submissions to the applicable funding body
- Submit internal management information packs and dashboards to Medac GMBH (Group)
- Act as the key point of contact for capturing inputs for a 5‑year plan and rolling forecasting
- Prepare and post accurate month‑end journals in line with accounting standards and internal policies
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of reconciling items
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding to audit queries
- Undertake any reasonable tasks or regular duties as requested by your line manager that are within your skills and capability
- This is a hands‑on role which includes providing support and holiday cover to ensure continuity of finance operations
- Professionally qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) with post‑qualification experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Power Query and Power BI experience needed
- PowerPoint skills
- Self‑starter
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience of working towards tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships at all levels
