Deputy Director of Public Health – NHS Scotland
The role is a full-time position (10 Programmed Activities per week, equivalent to 40 hours) with options for 37 hours per week under Agenda for Change. Salary ranges are:

£111,430 – £148,064 per annum, pro rata - AFC Contract (Band
9): £122,736 – £128,051 per annum, pro rata
The Deputy Director of Public Health and Health Policy will lead the Directorate to promote and protect population health across the region. The Directorate works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, including Health and Social Care Partnerships, Local Authorities, Primary Care, Police Scotland, the Third Sector, and maintains strong ties with the University of Stirling.
Responsibilities- The Directorate plays a key role in NHS Forth Valley by promoting and protecting population health across the region.

The required qualifications and experience are:
- Applicants must hold full GMC registration and a licence to practise, or equivalent for non‑medical applicants.
- Applicants must have Membership of the Faculty of Public Health or equivalent.
- Applicants must be included in the GMC Full and Specialist Register with a license to practice/GDC Specialist List or inclusion in the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR) for Public Health Specialists at the point of application.
- Evidence of recent continued academic and professional development.
- Excellent communication, listening and organisational skills.
