About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will work across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes and will have the opportunity to give something back to those people. Your work will involve planning and delivering personalised care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
Responsibilities- Plan and implement personalised care plans for residents, ensuring they feel secure, dignified and independent.
- Get to know residents and families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans.
- Lead and support a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the team.
- Assist residents with daily tasks such as using walking frames, eating meals and support residents at the end of life.
- Communicate with families and colleagues with kindness and consideration.
- Support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager with medication administration and physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
- Maintain accurate records of care delivered and build strong relationships with the team.
- Completed Level 2 Diploma in Adult Social Care (S/NVQ) or equivalent.
- Prepared to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or comparable level.
- Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of dementia care.
- Positive energy, excellent record‑keeping skills, effective time-management and a natural ability to get along with people.
- Ability to be considerate and kind when communicating with residents and co‑workers.
