Job Overview

Orchard House Health Centre offers an exciting part‑time opportunity for a family support worker/nursery nurse with current practice experience to join the Health Visiting Family Support Team in the Stirling area of NHS Forth Valley.

The Health Visiting Service works with a varied client population, including children and families with known vulnerabilities, covering Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire. You will become a key member of the team and support families with pre‑school children, working with health visitors to promote health and wellbeing, prevent ill health, and reduce health inequalities in the community.

Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance the health agenda for families with pre‑school children.
  • Work with health visitors and families on health improvement projects to promote health and wellbeing.
  • Prevent ill health and reduce health inequalities within the community.
  • Travel throughout the service delivery area as required.
  • Maintain membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Qualifications
  • Current practice experience as a family support worker or nursery nurse.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire.
  • Membership of the PVG Scheme (or willingness to join).
Hours and Pay

From 1 April 2026 the full‑time Agenda for Change working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro rata, with an equivalent increase in the hourly rate so pay is not affected.
