Partner; Strategic Unit

Reporting to, and working closely with the Strategic Opportunities Management team, this role will support the identification, delivery and monitoring of key strategic opportunities aimed at maximising our organisations impact on the circular economy in Scotland.

This role will be specifically responsible for managing stakeholder engagement, both within the organisation and with external partners, and for providing comprehensive support as required to accelerate the delivery of an agreed portfolio of strategic opportunities to ensure timely and effective progress.

• Supporting on a range of opportunities securing commitment from stakeholders/ partners across the sector with the aim of encouraging uptake of circular approaches.
• Working with the Strategic Opportunities Management team to develop a pipeline of projects from across Scotland, developing an awareness and understanding of emerging strategic opportunities. Support identification of opportunities to enhance the delivery of Zero Waste Scotland’s Corporate Plan ambitions. Working in partnership with the Strategic Opportunities Management team to examine these and developing an overview of programmes and projects; taking responsibility for actioning these opportunities.
• Proactively developing and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders/customers/partners whilst leading procurements, contracts and framework agreements requiring a high degree of skills in negotiation, collaboration, influence and persuasion.
