We are seeking an experienced candidate for a Deli Manager role at our Iluka IGA store, based North of the river. In this role, you will primarily focus on preparing and presenting freshly made meals daily while ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and produce.

The successful candidate will report to the Store Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the department's staff to deliver high-quality service to all customers. They will also be accountable for meeting sales targets by training, motivating, and mentoring staff and working collaboratively with all department managers to improve and grow the store. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop a proactive, positive culture in the store in line with Tucker Fresh's vision, mission, and values.

• Setting the standard where “every local is loved”.

• Preparing fresh food onsite.
• Ensuring that staff deliver high quality service to all customers.
• Understanding and responding to customer requests and needs.
• Informing customers about specials, promotions and new items.
• Working safely in accordance with legislation and all supermarket safety policies and procedures.
• Weighing, scanning and recording prices of products.
• Receiving and processing payments for goods and services.

• Experience working in a similar role.
• Food preparation and handling skills.
• Knowledge of food safety.
• Passion for food and creativity to share ideas.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer experiences by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Physical ability to be on your feet for long periods and lift moderate to heavy weights.
