Affordable Golf supports customers in improving their game through experienced staff, high-quality training, and advanced technology including Game Changer 2 and Flight Scope launch monitors.
The business provides services such as custom fitting, club trade‑ins, golf trolley repairs, and lessons from PGA qualified professionals in-store. Alongside its online shop, Affordable Golf operates several large stores in Central Scotland, with a new location opening in Stirling staffed by golf enthusiasts and professionals.
The Retail Salesperson is a full-time, on-site role based in our Stirling store, supporting customers in selecting golf equipment, clothing, and accessories that best meet their needs and budgets. Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming customers, identifying their requirements, explaining product features and benefits, and providing knowledgeable guidance on brands and equipment. The role involves processing sales transactions, handling returns and exchanges, maintaining a clean and well-organized sales floor, and ensuring stock is displayed accurately and attractively.
The Retail Salesperson will also assist with basic merchandising tasks, respond to customer inquiries in person and by phone, and work closely with the store team to meet sales targets and deliver a high-quality customer experience. Collaboration with PGA professionals and other team members to support fittings, lessons, and in-store events is an important part of the role.
- Candidates should possess strong Retail Sales and Sales skills, with the ability to meet targets and convert customer interest into purchases.
- Candidates should possess solid Product Knowledge of golf equipment and apparel, or demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn this quickly.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to engage with a wide range of customers and build long-term relationships.
- Candidates should possess basic numeracy and point-of-sale system skills, with attention to detail when handling transactions and inventory.
- Previous experience in retail, sports, or leisure environments is beneficial, and a genuine interest in golf or experience playing the game is a strong advantage.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
