Night Replenishment, Supermarket Assistant – Team Leader

About The Role

As a Team Leader within one of our Waitrose shops, you will help our difference be felt by customers on every visit, providing a partner‑led service and passion for food that our competitors cannot match. Your drive to go the extra mile will enhance the customer experience, build trust, encourage repeat visits, and support sales and profitability.

Due to working time regulations, applicants must be 18 years or older to apply.

• Support the shop’s management team with managerial tasks and collaborate across the shop to meet customer demand.
• Ensure partners operate safely and legally.
• Fulfil online customer orders ready for delivery.
• Stock replenishment – keep shelves full and items placed correctly.
• Assist the wider shop team in checkout support, Click & Collect orders, on‑demand orders and other duties.
• Drive commercial performance, offering continuous improvement ideas.
• Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for items nearing sell‑by dates.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment with general shop‑keeping duties.

• Good people and leadership skills.
• Strong understanding of retail and commercial maximisation.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Stakeholder management skills when working with third parties and the wider partnership.
