Take charge of accounting at 7shifts as a Controller, leading a team and enhancing financial processes on a full-benefit 16-month contract.

This Controller position at 7shifts offers an opportunity for a CPA with over 7 years of experience to impact the restaurant sector significantly. You’ll be managing the month-end close, compliance filings, and mentoring accounting talent, all while utilizing AI-driven tools for improved efficiency. Your leadership will directly influence the performance of the team and the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end and year-end financial closures

• Lead all aspects of full-cycle accounting

• Prepare detailed financial commentary and analyses

• Manage annual compliance and reporting processes

• Engage in tech-driven improvements in workflows

Requirements:

• CPA with 7+ years in tech or SaaS environments

• Proven leadership and mentoring experience

• Understanding of Canadian and US payrolls

• Analytical mindset with excellent communication skills

• Prior experience in multi-entity accounting
