Experienced Underground Mining Superintendent

Location: St. John's

Brunel is seeking an Underground Operations Superintendent for its Voisey’s Bay site. This permanent role is centered on overseeing safe and efficient underground mining operations.

This position involves leading a dedicated team at Brunel, focusing on the management of critical mineral production, including nickel and copper. As an Underground Operations Superintendent, you will ensure the safe execution of mining activities and drive continuous improvement efforts, leading to enhanced operational performance and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct daily underground mining operations securely

• Fulfill production and maintenance plans reliably

• Monitor performance metrics for production and safety

• Lead teams in capital planning and execution

• Implement new initiatives for process improvements

Requirements:

• Mining Engineering degree or similar education

• Required P.Eng. designation or eligibility

• Over 8 years’ experience in underground operations

• Proven senior leadership in mining

• Knowledge of drilling, venting, and mine design
