Children’s Community Charter School (CCCS) is a public charter school located in Paradise, California, serving students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade with a focus on whole‑child development and academic excellence. OPPORTUNITYThis is a unique leadership opportunity for an experienced, trauma‑informed, mission‑driven school leader to serve in a dual capacity as both Executive Director and Principal of Children’s Community Charter School. In this role, the selected leader will divide their time and responsibilities across two distinct but closely connected functions. As Executive Director, the leader will serve as the school’s chief executive, reporting directly to the Governing Board and acting as Secretary to the Governing Board, overseeing charter operations, compliance, fiscal management, personnel systems, and overall organizational effectiveness.
As Principal, the leader will provide instructional leadership and oversee the day‑to‑day school site operations, including curriculum implementation, staff supervision and evaluation, student safety and discipline, school culture, and family and community engagement. Together, these responsibilities position the Executive Director/Principal as the central leader ensuring CCCS’s academic excellence, operational strength, and whole‑child mission are advanced with integrity and care.
Mission & Vision Leadership
- Articulates and models a deep commitment to CCCS’s mission, vision and values in all aspects of school culture and leadership.
- Provides leadership and guidance for the TK–8 school program in alignment with CCCS’s whole‑child approach.
Organizational Leadership, Operations & Finance
- Oversees implementation of the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
- Oversees and administers the use of school facilities, property, and funds with efficiency and an overriding focus on student learning and outcomes.
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and county requirements and maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of operational best practices.
- Manage teacher union negotiations and contract development that supports the school’s mission, values, and long‑term organizational health.
- Oversees enrollment planning and financial forecasting through landscape analysis and trend monitoring to support long‑term sustainability.
- Develops plans and organizational procedures for health, safety, discipline, and conduct of students in conformity with district policies and the CA Education Code.
Board Partnership
- Establishes regular channels of student‑staff‑principal‑community and Board communications.
- Executes Board‑approved policies, implements Board decisions, and supports effective Board operations and decision‑making.
People Leadership, Talent Development & Team Effectiveness
- Recruits and hires qualified instructional and support staff.
- Inspires, leads, and supports staff in setting and achieving high standards of academic excellence.
- Conducts comprehensive and accurate evaluations of certificated and classified staff.
