Position
Para educator – full and part‑time positions available.
LocationCentral Plains Elementary – Holyrood (CKCIE).
Job DescriptionProvide assistance in implementing plans and programs related to academic or functional skill attainment for students with disabilities, observing and documenting student progress and/or behavior, and ensuring the safety and welfare of students. Work days when students are attending school (approx. 170 days/year).
Responsibilities- Provide support to classroom teachers.
- Instruction of students with disabilities.
- Other classroom duties as needed.
- Must enjoy working with special needs students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus a passing score on the state para educator assessment, or a minimum of 48 college hours, or a post‑secondary degree.
- Employment subject to drug screening, physical exam, criminal background check, and TB screening.
Starting base pay: $14.11 per hour.
Full‑time employees are eligible for BCBS health insurance and KPERS retirement.
