Lead and inspire as the Intermediate Mathematics Department Head at Brother Rice Junior High in St. John’s. Focus on student success and collaboration with educators starting September 8, 2026.

In this full-time TERM position, you will join the leadership team, shaping a safe and inclusive environment at Brother Rice Junior High.

Your role involves supporting teachers in curriculum delivery and participating in developing annual staffing plans. Embrace the student-first philosophy and drive professional development initiatives that cultivate strengths within the mathematics department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direction and support to math teachers

• Assist in developing staffing plans for effective program delivery

• Coordinate professional development and training initiatives

• Collaborate with regional staff on student success projects

• Foster a positive learning atmosphere within the department

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education – Secondary and Master's Degree

• NL Teaching Certificate – Level IV or higher

• Math Major with 10 courses completed

• Minimum five years of teaching experience

• Experience as a curriculum leader at school level
