Full-time permanent Primary French Immersion classroom teacher position, St. Peters Elementary, Mt. Pearl. Duties commence September 8, 2026.

As a French second language teacher you will have a critical role in ensuring student achievement as specified in the curriculum guides of French programs. • Demonstrated accurate and fluent linguistic modeling to ensure a language-rich learning environment.
• Ability to ensure and facilitate authentic interactive strategies for the progressive development of French second language learning.
• Knowledge and experience in appropriate second language literacy development through a variety of differentiated strategies and resources.

• Bachelor of Education
  - Primary/Elementary with a Minor in French (6 courses)
• NL Teaching Certificate
  - Level IV or higher
• Minimum of B2 DELF Assessment (70% overall average with no less than 60% minimum in all four components)
• French First Language applicants may be considered equivalent
• Equivalencies will be considered

Annual Teacher Salary Scale as per NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and benefits contained within the agreement.

Applicants without the required qualifications may be considered in accordance with Clause 37.01(d) of the provincial collective agreement.
