- Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years - Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years Work setting - Offshore drilling rig Tasks
- Align and manipulate sections of pipe or drill stem from a platform on the rig derrick
- Supervise daily activities of floorhands, labourers and helpers
- Train floorhands, assistants and helpers
- Assist in setting up, taking down and transporting drilling and service rigs
- Use specialized equipment to determine the location of buried pipelines and other utilities in preparation for seismic exploration and drilling activities Health benefits
