NSB Omega is searching for a Project Manager for our MAJOR Utilities Client in St, John's, NL.

Assignment Description

Key Responsibilities

· Leadprojectsfrominitiationtocompletion,ensuringprojectsaredeliveredsafely,on time, and within budget;

· Developandmanageprojectscopes,schedules,andbudgets,includingregular reporting to NL Hydro leadership;

· Overseeandreviewtenderpackages,participateincontractevaluationandaward processes, ensuring quality and value for NL Hydro;

· Manageprojectteams,includinginternalengineers,contractors,andconsultants,to achieve project objectives;

· Conductregularsitevisitstomonitorconstructionactivities,verifyprojectprogress,and provide support to site teams;

· Identify,evaluate,andmitigateprojectrisks,andmaintaintheprojectriskregister throughout the project lifecycle;

· Facilitateeffectivecommunicationacrossstakeholders,ensuringthatapprovedproject changes are reflected in the active budget and schedule;

· Ensurecontractorcompliancewith

NLHydro’sContractor Safety Management Planand  corporate and Contractor HSE policies;

· Leadprojectcloseoutactivities,ensuringsmoothtransitionofcompletedassetsto operations;

· Promotecontinualimprovementthroughlessonslearned,innovativeapproaches,and sharing best practices with other project teams;

· Submittimesheetsanddocumentationinaccordancewith

NLHydro’sproject management requirements;

· Otherdutiesas assigned.

Education & Experience Required

· Bachelor’sdegreein

Engineeringregisteredwiththe Professional Engineersand  Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) association;

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationfromthe

Project

Management Institute (PMI) is preferred;

· Minimumof8yearsofprogressiveprojectmanagementand/orengineeringexperience in hydro-electric facilities or electrical utility projects;

· Strongbackgroundincoordinatingandmanagingmultidisciplinaryprojectteams(e.g., electrical, civil, mechanical) and collaborating with design and construction groups;

· Demonstratedabilitytomanageprojectsonoperationalindustrialsites,including contractor supervision and adherence to site-specific safety requirements;

· Excellentcomputerskillsincludingaworkingknowledgeof Microsoft Office;

· Abilitytoadapttodynamicworkenvironmentsandchangingproject demands.
