As the Circular Economy Manager, you will act as the resource specialist for our teams and the ambassador of our mission within the global aerospace ecosystem. From managing Eco Vadis performance to building partnerships with research centers, you will ensure our circular engine runs at full efficiency across Canada, France, and the USA.
WhatYou'll Do
In this role, you will act as a resource specialist and ambassador for the ecological transition to steer the company’s circularity strategy. You will be expected to:
- Define and steer the circular economy strategy by analyzing life cycles and identifying opportunities for component valorization (fuselages, critical materials, etc.).
- Coordinate environmental and CSR performance, including maintaining ISO 14001 certification, managing the Eco Vadis process, and calculating GHG reductions.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships and reuse pilot projects with industry stakeholders (startups, research centers, OEMs, MROs).
- Ensure technological monitoring and represent Optima Aero within industrial ecosystems to promote our culture of sustainability
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Engineering degree (aeronautical, industrial, or environmental) or specialized degree in circular economy.
- Significant experience in environmental project management or materials engineering.
- Technical skills:
Mastery of ISO 14001, knowledge of materials (composites/metals), and bilingualism (French/English) is imperative. - Soft skills:
Influential leadership, analytical mind, and ability to facilitate creative sessions. - Assets:
Knowledge of the aeronautical sector (MRO/OEM) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies
