Job Description
Are you ready to design your future? Be our next Senior Electrical Engineer (Mining). In this role, you will be a part of the Mining Team based at the listed office locations.

Responsibilities

PLC, Power, Automation and instrumentation mining experience required.

Responsible for meeting firm’s engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projects.

Oversees development of design concepts by designers and ensures proper application and execution.

Verifies designers’ work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.

Responsible for applying EXP’s risk management practices of electrical engineering.

Has a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.

Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions.

Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.

Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.

Performs front‑end loading of electrical systems for projects.

Contributes to revisions of EXP’s design standards and master specifications.

Evaluates value engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.

Edits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope.

Develops electrical one‑lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.

Participates in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews.

What Your Experience Looks Like

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.

EIT or Registered P.Eng.

At least 5-10 years of experience in the mining or industrial industry.

Salary range for this role is between $106.4K - $141.1K. Compensation packages are based on unique factors for each candidate.
