BBA Electrical Protection Systems Engineer

Location: St. John's

Shape future energy solutions with BBA as an Electrical Protection and Controls Engineer. Focus on design and implementation for high-voltage systems throughout Canada.

This regular position at BBA allows you to dive into creating protection and control systems crucial for HV/MV power transmission.

Your role includes preparing detailed electrical schematics, performing various studies, and providing site support. You will ensure the quality of work and compliance in designs while actively engaging with clients to deliver superior projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create essential electrical deliverables like wiring diagrams

• Set up and configure protection relay settings

• Conduct detailed engineering reports and studies

• Help with commissioning of protection systems

• Interface with customers and prepare project proposals

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering degree with eligibility for Professional registration

• Experience in Newfoundland & Labrador Hydro P&C projects

• Background in network architecture design

• Familiarity with protection relay brands like SEL and GE

• Strong communication skills in English, knowledge of French is an asset
