Location: St. John's
Join North Star as an experienced Electrical Design Engineer in St. John’s, NL, and play a pivotal role in capital project execution. This position emphasizes electrical design, team collaboration, and field support.
As part of a dedicated engineering group from June 2026 to June 2027, you will develop designs, estimates, and drawings while supporting contract and commissioning activities. Engage with multidisciplinary teams to address technical issues and contribute to engineering standards, enhancing project outcomes and efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support capital project delivery through electrical design
• Create detailed estimates and technical specifications
• Assist in tender preparation and contract management
• Participate in project commissioning planning
• Provide field support during construction phases
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• P.Eng. status with PEGNL
• Experience with utility electrical systems
• Familiarity with switch gear and distribution equipment
• Ability to travel as needed in Newfoundland and Labrador
