Location: Paradise
DOF Canada seeks a skilled Chief Engineer to lead operations on our Offshore Supply Vessels, working on a 28-day rotation. This role emphasizes safety, maintenance, and effective teamwork.
As Chief Engineer, you will take charge of the engine department, ensuring that all mechanical and electrical systems are kept at peak performance. Responsibilities include upholding safety standards, maintaining compliance with maritime regulations, and leading the Engine Room team. Your leadership will foster a culture of safety and efficiency among crew members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee operations and maintenance of engine systems
• Manage compliance with safety and pollution legislation
• Prepare dry dock specifications with vessel management
• Assist in monthly operational reporting
• Lead all safety procedures and training initiatives
Requirements:
• Degree in Marine Engineering required
• First Class Motor-ship Certificate necessary
• Minimum 5 years of relevant offshore experience
• In-depth knowledge of ISM and Canadian maritime law
• Strong leadership and communication skills
