Transform engineering concepts into practical designs with Harbour side Engineering Consultants as a Civil/Structural Technician. This role focuses on heavy civil infrastructure projects, primarily involving bridges and marine structures.
Based in St. John's, NL, HEC seeks an experienced technician to join its collaborative team. Your work will involve creating detailed design drawings using AutoCAD, developing fabrication drawings, and ensuring the clarity of designs with engineers. This position is ideal for those passionate about impactful infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create detailed design drawings for bridges and heavy civil structures
• Develop fabrication and erection drawings for contractors
• Work closely with engineers to refine design details
• Interpret complex engineering drawings for large projects
• Assist with inspection and documentation for marine structures
Requirements:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with strong structural detailing experience
• High attention to detail and effective time management
• Diploma or degree in civil engineering technology preferred
