Shape the future of mining with WSP as a Senior Electrical Engineer. Lead the design of electrical power systems for Canada’s mining and industrial sectors.
Join WSP’s Resources subsector, where you’ll leverage over 12 years of electrical engineering experience to optimize new construction and brownfield projects. You will act as a senior subject matter expert in electrical design while ensuring compliance and safety. Your contribution is vital to supporting operational efficiency in heavy industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design electrical distribution and control systems for safety
• Conduct power system studies using ETAP and Easy Power
• Prepare specifications for switch gear, MCCs, and transformers
• Oversee engineering calculations and field reviews
• Mentor junior engineers to enhance team capabilities
Requirements:
• 12+ years in electrical design for industrial facilities
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Ontario
• Proficient in CSA, ANSI, IEEE codes and standards
• Expertise in power modeling tools and control systems
• Valid driver's license for site visits
