Senior financial analyst

PAL Airlines  is currently expanding our finance team in  St. John's, NL  we are looking for a full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join us!

Job Duties

Accountable for the development, interpretation and implementation of financial models and accounting concepts or techniques for financial planning

Provide support for the development and reporting of key performance indicators for senior level management and enhance the process of reporting on business performance

Responsible for analyzing financial results of various business units, focusing on variances from fiscal plans and forecasts

Analyze results against trends and benchmarks in an effort to find efficiencies and opportunities

Investigate, develop and implement quantitative investment decision making tools using a variety of computer systems and financial databases as required

Work together with operation teams to understand unique business drivers and how they impact financial results

Provide detailed financial analysis during request for proposal processes and projects

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate from a University program with a Bachelor’s degree.

Completion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

Must be knowledgeable of financial concepts and preparation of variance analysis.

Experience with project accounting and reporting for medium to large scale projects.

Demonstrated flexibility and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.

Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Superior analytical, leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Must have an inquiring mindset with a focus on understanding business and working as a member of a diverse team.
