This Financial Collections Officer performs specialized collections work for fines imposed by judges and summary offence tickets. The position supports convictions under the Criminal Code and Provincial Statutes. Duties include financial counselling, account monitoring, asset searches, legislative collections options, FAST database records, and computer applications.

• Conduct financial assessments for clients with outstanding fines
• Negotiate payment agreements and provide financial counselling
• Monitor accounts for compliance with payment agreements
• Conduct asset searches and use legislative collections options
• Maintain records in FAST and other computer applications

• Diploma in business administration or accepted equivalency
• Debt counseling experience is considered an asset
• Knowledge of collection practices and applicable legislation
• Ability to exchange information effectively and think critically
• Confidentiality, relationship building, and professionalism
