As we scale, we are looking for a relationship‑driven Sales Professional who is excited by ambiguity, who has sold complex, high‑value technology, and who knows how to navigate long, consultative buying cycles with governments, primes, and large enterprises.

Role Overview
As part of our Sales team, you will help open and develop markets for a technology the world has never seen before. You will work with early customers and strategic partners to validate use cases, build business cases, and establish long‑term relationships that can evolve into large, multi‑year programs.

This role involves engaging with executive and technical decision‑makers evaluating platform‑level investments, and guiding them through how Avalon’s holographic displays can deliver transformational impact.

This position is based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, and requires significant travel across Canada and the United States.

A Day In The Life

Engage with senior technical, operational, and executive stakeholders to explore where holographic technology can deliver game‑changing impact.

Help customers articulate problems they may not yet have fully defined, and co‑create solutions around Avalon’s technology.

Develop and advance opportunities with Primes, government stakeholders, and within Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) programs.

Partner with engineering and product teams to translate early customer insight into market direction.

Represent Avalon at international and domestic events to showcase our technology and build product awareness.

What Will Help You Be Successful

Bachelor’s degree in business (or equivalent) and experience in start‑up technology sales is highly valued.

Experience selling complex, high‑value hardware, platform, or infrastructure technologies is an asset.

A relationship‑driven sales approach with the ability to build trust across many levels of an organization.

A proven ability to navigate long, consultative sales cycles with multiple technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders.

Strong strategic thinking, creativity, and sound judgment in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.

Technical aptitude or background and curiosity.

The ability to blend savvy sales skills with strategic marketing to target key customers effectively.

Willingness to travel extensively to trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.
