PAL Technical Services is seeking qualified applications for the position of Repair Manager at our St. John's, NL base. The Repair Manager will manage and oversee repair activities for company owned spare components. Responsibilities include part disposition, vendor selection, regular follow‑up with vendors to optimize repair processes, provide updates to PTS management and staff on repair status, and review and rebalance inventory upon completion.
Duties and Responsibilities Quarantine Review – review parts in quarantine to determine what needs repair versus exchange.
Vendor Selection – determine preferred repair vendor based on cost, lead time, and existing agreements; coordinate new vendor set‑up in Win Air; input vendor into Select Vendor queue and draft purchase orders; assist with shipping method/carrier selection.
Weekly Reviews with Vendors and Stakeholders – ensure missing documents or sub‑components are addressed, resolve snags with Tech Records and Production, expedite component evaluation.
Expedite Approval – process approvals through Docu Sign per the PO approval matrix; provide evidence for decisions, including repair quotes, tear‑down reports, cost analysis, and vendor agreements.
Re‑balance Stock Levels – determine appropriate base for repaired parts and maintain adequate stock levels across bases.
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Supply Chain and Logistics Management certification (asset).
2‑3 years of experience in parts procurement and repair facilitation.
2‑3 years of shipping and logistics experience, including regulations and documentation.
2‑3 years of technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance parts and practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
Comfortable navigating ERP systems and other computer programs.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to multitask and shift focus quickly – essential.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Comfortable interacting with multiple stakeholders.
Detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven, and time‑management capable.
Experience with customs and controlled goods.
Independent and team‑oriented work style.
