Position: Custodial Role at The Gathering Place
Serve in an essential Custodian role at The Gathering Place in St. John's, ensuring a clean and supportive environment for guests, staff, and volunteers. This call-in position includes varied shifts covering both days and evenings.

As a Custodian, you'll report to the Manager of Facilities and be tasked with adhering to safety and cleanliness standards across multiple locations. Your responsibilities will include managing cleaning schedules, operating equipment safely, and stocking necessary supplies. This role is pivotal to the overall mission of maintaining health and dignity for those served by The Gathering Place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow cleaning protocols to maintain a sanitary environment

• Safely use cleaning supplies and manage hazardous materials

• Complete cleaning tasks as per documented plans

• Store custodial equipment and supplies properly

• Adapt to shifts including evenings and weekends as needed

Requirements:

• Knowledge of WHMIS and safety protocols preferred

• Experience in institutional or community custodial roles

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Clear Record of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check required
