Branch Manager – Mount Pearl Branch
Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for generators, engines, pumps, blowers,valves, variable frequency drives and packaged engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications across Atlantic Canada.
We are seeking a results-driven Branch Manager tolead our Mount Pearl Branch, overseeing integrated sales support, parts, andfield/shop service operations. Reporting to the Vice President, this role is accountable for overall branch performance, including financial results,operational efficiency, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities P&L Ownership & Performance- Lead overall branch operations with full accountability for P&L performance.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans and budgets.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive profitability improvements across all departments.
- Lead a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Manage branch budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Oversee service order accuracy, billing, andcost tracking.
- Support accounts receivable and collections in coordination with sales and finance.
- Ensure adherence to pricing, quoting, and approval processes.
- Oversee daily branch operations, including inventory management, parts department performance, equipment and service coordination, and logistics
- Ensure efficient workflows, resource allocation,and high productivity.
- Drive operational consistency and adherence tocompany standards.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to ensure high standards of workmanship, quality, and efficiency.
- Build relationships with key customers withinthe assigned region.
- Act as escalation point for complex equipment,service, or delivery issues.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality customer service across all departments.
- Align branch operations with corporate sales strategies, targets, and initiatives.
- Work closely with the Vice President and salesteam (inside & outside) to support sales execution and customer commitments.
- Participate in joint customer calls when required.
- Collaborate on forecasting, inventory planning,and pricing alignment to drive revenue and margin performance.
- Provide feedback to corporate and salesleadership on market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity.
- Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team across sales, service, parts, and operations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork,and customer-focused performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide ongoing feedback, and support individual development plans.
- Identify skill gaps and support training in technical, sales, and operational competencies.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-performing team members.
- Drive engagement and alignment across teams toensure consistent execution communication.
- Lead a strong safety culture across shop andfield operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory andcompany standards.
- Oversee safe work practices for mechanical,electrical, and marine applications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams across sales support, service, and operations.
- Strong financial acumen (P&L responsibility required).
- Experience working in a multi-branch environment in industrial supply, distribution, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
