On behalf of our client, Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Director, Warehouse and Logistics to provide strategic and operational leadership across the company’s wholesale distribution and warehouse network, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and cost-effective flow of products to retail locations.
The Director is responsible for optimizing all aspects of warehouse performance, including receiving, storage, inventory management, replenishment, order fulfillment, and distribution, while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, capacity utilization, service levels, and customer satisfaction.
Working closely with Procurement, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, the Director will leverage operational metrics and data-driven decision-making to improve performance, support capital planning and infrastructure investments, and strengthen the overall distribution network.
The Director will oversee inventory accuracy, transportation and third-party logistics partnerships, financial performance, and operational efficiency while ensuring product availability and effective cost management.
As a key leader, they will develop and mentor high-performing teams, foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, and support workforce planning and employee development initiatives.
The role is also accountable for maintaining compliance with food safety, regulatory, quality, and workplace health and safety standards, leading risk mitigation and contingency planning efforts, and ensuring the organization consistently delivers exceptional operational performance.
What You Bring:- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) is an asset.
- Professional Certifications such as SCMP, CSCP, CPIM or Lean Six Sigma would be assets.
- 8–10+ years of progressive experience in wholesale distribution, logistics, or supply chain management.
- At least 5 years of leadership or management experience.
- Experience with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and inventory management software.
