Position: Director of Resident Care at Extendicare
Location: Holyrood

Elevate resident care standards as the Director of Care at Extendicare Holyrood in Edmonton, AB. This full-time position requires leadership in managing care operations and fostering an effective team environment.

As the Director of Care, you will oversee daily care practices, ensure adherence to provincial regulations, and lead initiatives that promote resident well-being.

Your role as an advocate for residents will empower clinical excellence and support staff engagement, ensuring a positive culture within the home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the resident care team

• Develop and implement training programs for staff

• Manage budgetary needs of the nursing department

• Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and standards

• Engage with families and community partners to enhance care

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Master’s preferred

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Alberta

• At least 5 years in nursing, with 2+ in leadership

• Understanding of long-term care best practices

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
