Position Summary

Working as a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a fast‑paced retail environment. • Maintain Department Organization and Standards Keeps the department clean, organized, and properly zoned; rotates stock and removes expired/unsellable products.
• Ensure Accurate Pricing and Signing Ensures all merchandise is correctly signed and priced; follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markups, markdowns, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Follow Food Safety and Cold Chain Practices Adheres to food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, and compliance with sell‑by/expiration dates.
• Prepare and Serve Deli Products Takes customer orders and prepares deli items such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken using slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other tools safely to fill display cases and complete special orders.
• Health and Safety Compliance Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hygienic work environment.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule) Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• High Task Volume in a Fast‑Paced Environment
  • Manages overnight hours effectively and plans accordingly to stay energized and focused.
  • Handles fast‑paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.
• Physical Demands
  • Standing for extended periods, bending, lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies up to 20 lbs. (occasionally up to 50 lbs.).
  • Performing repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.80.
