Assistant Team Leader

Dollarama is looking for an Assistant Team Leader to join their team in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
. This is a hands-on supervisory role at one of Canada's most recognized retail chains, offering both full-time and part-time schedules to suit your availability.

As an Assistant Team Leader
, you'll work alongside store management to keep daily operations running smoothly - from receiving shipments and stocking shelves to supporting your team and delivering solid customer service

In this position, you'll be an active part of the store management team
, helping to oversee day-to-day operations and staff activities. You'll handle everything from cash management and store opening/closing duties to participating in employee training and ensuring the store meets its presentation and cleanliness standards.

This role requires solid leadership and communication skills
, as you'll be responsible for conducting manager-on-duty tasks, including tracking attendance and ensuring breaks are taken. You'll be working in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment

As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, your day-to-day will span both floor operations and team support. You'll play a key role in keeping the store organized, well-stocked, and running efficiently while helping develop a positive working environment for your colleagues.

• Assist management in overseeing store operations and coordinating staff activities
• Handle daily shipments - boxing, unboxing, and processing incoming product
• Stock shelves with daily products in compliance with presentation standards
• Deliver customer service and resolve customer issues as they arise
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards throughout the store
• Conduct manager-on-duty tasks
  , including tracking breaks and entering attendance records
• Perform cash management and store opening and closing duties as needed
• Participate in employee training and onboarding processes
