Wage: $16.35 per hour + 4% Vacation Pay
Schedule:40 Hours/week - Various shifts based on operational requirements
Donation Associate
Integrated Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and customer-focused Donation Associate to join a busy retail environment in St. John’s, NL. The successful candidate will assist donors, receive and process donated goods, stock merchandise, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. This is a physically active position requiring frequent lifting, bending, standing, walking, and moving donations throughout the store and production areas.
Responsibilities

Greet and assist donors and customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Receive donations and assist donors with carrying and unloading items.

Sort donated goods and determine which items are suitable for sale, recycling, or disposal.

Move and stock merchandise onto the sales floor.

Assist with sorting, hanging, pricing, and tagging merchandise as required.

Assist with baling and safely moving product through the production area.

Assist with shipping, receiving, and auction preparation as required.

Help with general store recovery and organization.

Store seasonal items for upcoming holidays and events.

Complete general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, dusting, cleaning windows and mirrors, and disposing of garbage.

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and report hazards or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent.

Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with the public.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Previous retail, warehouse, donation, or customer service experience is considered an asset.

Physical Requirements

Ability to regularly lift and move donations and merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs
.

Frequent pushing and pulling of boxes, totes, bags, and pallet jacks.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and climb throughout the shift.

Ability to safely perform repetitive sorting, packing, and material-handling tasks.

PPE Requirements

Steel-toe shoes or boots are required.

Additional PPE may be required based on assigned duties and workplace safety requirements.

Working Conditions

Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, moderate fumes, and repetitive tasks.

This is a physically active role involving repetitive lifting, sorting, and material handling.

The position requires flexibility with scheduled hours, as donations may be received seven days per week.
