We are currently seeking a Bridle & Maintenance Technician for a 6 month full time contract at the

A. Harvey Marine Base Container Depot located on Sugarloaf Rd. In this role, you will ensure the smooth flow of shop operations and maintain the readiness and safety of bridles and rigging used across our current operations. The role includes the following responsibilities:

• Inspect and ensure all bridles and rigging meet required safety and operational standards and are ready to use.
• Separate, repair, and inspect bridles and rigging, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory updates.
• Perform general shop clean‑up and maintenance.
• Maintain an up-to-date stock list on a daily basis.
• Install and remove CCU bridles as required.
• Complete and submit required paperwork to Container Operations.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Follow and stay current on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience and/or knowledge of tanks/bridles/wire rope/lifting equipment.
• Valid forklift licence, First Aid, WHMIS and Dangerous Goods certifications.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Self‑confident individual with strong organizational and multitasking skills that can prioritize and manage tasks and deadlines efficiently.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and work with diverse groups of people and clients.
• Team‑oriented with a strong sense of dependability and responsibility.
• Comfortable working in an environment with heavy machinery and varying weather conditions.
