Become a vital part of Mercy House as the Guest Empowerment Coordinator in St. John’s. This permanent full-time role focuses on trauma-informed programming and skill-building for residents transitioning to independence.

As a Guest Empowerment Coordinator, you will support residents at Mercy House and the Community Health Centre in achieving housing stability.

Your role involves designing life skills workshops and support groups, while fostering a culturally responsive environment that emphasizes dignity and equity. Collaborating with the team, you'll engage participants through strength-based approaches, ensuring program accessibility for those facing obstacles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement life skills workshops and support groups

• Foster inclusive and culturally responsive programming

• Collaborate with managers on program evaluation and delivery

• Build relationships with service providers for maximum support

• Document progress and contribute to program evaluation

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in health/social sciences

• Minimum 3 years in social services or supportive programming

• Understanding of trauma, substance use, and mental health

• Skilled in facilitating programs for vulnerable populations

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
