Become a vital part of The Salvation Army as a Client Support Worker, fostering positive relationships with shelter clients. Engage clients through social activities, providing tailored support and promoting personal growth.
This role emphasizes relationship building and direct client interaction. As a Client Support Worker, your primary task will be encouraging clients to develop essential social skills while supporting their unique needs. You will work closely with various community resources to ensure clients receive the foundation they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trusting relationships through daily interactions
• Document client progress and record case notes
• Facilitate access to community resources for clients
• Monitor client medication and hygiene needs
• Assist clients with personal identification acquisition
Requirements:
• Degree in psychology, social work, or related field
• Experience with marginalized populations preferred
• Excellent communication and assessment skills
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification required
• Recent Criminal History Check mandatory
