The Role
As a
Software Developer Specialist
reporting tothe Director – Software Development,you'llplay a critical role in building and enhancing Nasdaq's next-generation AI-powered platform!
You'llwork withcross-functional teams to design, develop, and troubleshoot intelligent solutions thatleveragecloud infrastructure andartificial intelligencecapabilities.
You’llalso contribute to performance analysis and optimization strategies that ensure the platformremainsscalable, efficient, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
Buildandmaintain
AIfeatures and platform capabilitiesthatleveragelarge language models
Diagnose and resolve complex issuesincloudservices anddeliver solutions thatimprove customer success
Collaborate with product owners, developers, and support teams to align priorities, understand requirements, and ship features that enhance the platform.
Contribute to technical documentation,playbooks, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Createhigh-qualitycodequickly and without errors, following best practices andmitigating risks
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5–10 years of software development experience with strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Experience with core AWS services such as Bedrock, API Gateway, ECS, Lambda, andAgent
Core.
Strong hands‑on Terraform experience, including infrastructure implementation and management, along with knowledge of AWS IAM and cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
Proficiencywith Java and Python in object‑oriented programming, RESTful API principles, and experience with both relational (Postgre
SQL/RDS) and No
SQL databases (Dynamo
DB).
Clear communicator with experience working collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with AI tools and frameworks, prompt engineering,LLMs,and AI performance evaluation (bias detection, hallucination monitoring, model drift analysis).
Prior use of AI-assisted development toolsandtechniquessuch as Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot, or similar platforms.
Exposure tomodern web development frameworks, distributed computing, or big data technologies.
Exposure to Python andJupyter
Notebooks,andSage Maker Studiois considered an asset.
This positionis located in
St. John's or Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office
