We are seeking a Software Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team in design and development of a valuation, trading and portfolio management platform – Kynex. We are in the transition phase of adopting latest technologies for expanding the platform to meet the business growth.

Kynex provides an integrated SaaS solution for convertible valuation, new issue pricing, portfolio and risk management, individual security analytics, as well as trade flow and order management. We provide unparalleled insight into the composition and distribution of global convertible securities markets, along with powerful analytical tools and proprietary financial calculators. Our lightning‑fast interface provides a highly customized and intuitive platform that gives meaningful, actionable information to traders, portfolio managers, risk managers, and other financial market participants around the globe.

• Design, develop, test and provide support for the applications.
• Write well‑designed, well‑documented, testable, efficient and secured code.
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies.
• Work in a cross‑functional team that includes product managers, developers, devops, sysops and bizops for end‑to‑end delivery of features and issue fixes.

• 3‑5 years of software development experience.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• Genuine curiosity of computer programming and keen on learning new technologies.
• Strong communication skills; need to be able to work in a multi‑location cross‑functional team.
• Solid hands‑on experience with:
• Programming Language and Frameworks:
  Java, Spring Framework, JPA, REST, grpc, .NET, Java script/Typescript, React
  
  JS, CSS.
• Cloud Technologies: AWS, Kubernetes, Serverless Frameworks (e.g., AWS lambda/Batch/Step Functions).
• Database:
  Microsoft SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL/MySQL.
• Strong knowledge in relational databases especially in the performance tuning and optimization aspects.
• Familiar with Dev Ops concepts and tools such as CD/CD and containers.
• Experience with Python and shell scripts.

• Previous experience in Fin Tech is a plus.

This will be a fully remote role, with a preference to those in the Greater Toronto Area.

The annual pay range for this position is based on the preferred primary location of the role which is listed above.
