WSP seeks a skilled AWIPS Application Developer to maintain and extend its cutting-edge AWIPS platform. This technical role requires expertise in Python and Java, focusing on improving the reliability of weather systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance the cloud-hosted AWIPS environment

• Develop AWIPS components using Python and Java

• Manage ingestion of model and observational data

• Troubleshoot data issues across various models

• Improve deployment workflows in cloud environments

Requirements:

• Strong software development experience in Python or Java

• Familiarity with Linux-based environments

• Experience with data formats like GRIB and NetCDF

• Ability to work with meteorologists for system support

• Preferred experience with AWIPS II development
