Location: Mount Pearl
Join Kraken Robotics as a Senior Firmware Developer supporting groundbreaking underwater technology from Mount Pearl, NL or Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Be a part of building essential firmware for marine sensors.
Your role will involve designing, developing, and testing embedded firmware for our Towed Systems. You will utilize your version control and programming skills to ensure firmware reliability in harsh underwater conditions. Collaboration with diverse teams will enhance system integration and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and debug embedded firmware using RTOS
• Optimize systems for navigation, telemetry, and data logging
• Implement robust underwater communication protocols
• Collaborate on system integration from concept to deployment
• Prepare technical documentation and user manuals
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar
• Minimum of 7 years in embedded firmware using C++
• Experience with real-time systems and low-level hardware
• Familiarity with Agile and modern firmware practices
• Excellent time management and communication skills
